The whole ordeal of EA bringing Origin back only to just use the name to make their own Steam clone, which is just like Steam, but doesn’t have all the, you know, games people want to play, has made me think about how classic games can continually be used to sell products that don’t belong.
…you just know somewhere at Lucasarts someone is trying to come up with a modern, gritty reboot of Maniac Mansion don’t you.
Did you know they made a Road Rash game for GBA? Neither did I until I found it tonight. THE MORE YOU KNOW.



Sure, there’s a Road Rash game for the GBA. There’s also a Pitfall game for the SNES, and a Crash Team Racing for the PS2. These all exist for the same reason: To devour love.
But but but how else will the publishers EXPLOIT FRANCHISES?
I’ve been in a lot of meetings where publishers lay out plans to keep bringing the same game back again year on year…it’s kind of terrifying.
