Poor ol’ Chuck Rock, he was a man before his time.

I was originally going to have him suffer the indignity of being in a Mario Kart-style game but then I remembered that Chuck Rock 3 WAS basically a Mario Kart clone that relegated him to being a second-tier character, so I didn’t want to put the poor bugger through that again.

Anyway, Chuck Rock was a very cute and colourful Amiga platformer that shone on that platform, and become somewhat less impressive on every console conversion that appeared afterward. What was cool in an Amiga platform game was pretty standard stuff on the consoles, and blind jumps, over zealous collision detection and a lack of replay incentive didn’t help convince you to play it when you could be playing Sonic or Mario instead.

Still, worth a bash!
