The first time I saw Lemonade Stand was on a friend’s Apple 2…well I don’t think he was really a friend, but my parents told me that we were friends and I guess I just went along with it because I could tell how much they just wanted me to get the hell out of the house and hey he had a computer so I guess it wasn’t so bad. Anyway he had some games that his dad let him play on the Apple 2 and one of them was Lemonade Stand but the game didn’t really gel with my philosophy of charging forty dollars a cup so I could buy a car.

And I don’t think it’ll really gel with the modern economy of freemium, either.

Anyway the moral of this story is that one day I brought my Atari 2600 around to this friend’s house and he lost his God damn mind at how great it was and the games were in colour and then he got mad at his parents for making him play on that stupid Apple 2 with the dumb green screen and there was an argument and I think I lost my copy of David’s Midnight Magic because I packed up my 2600 and left the place so fast.
