I need you to understand something: I really, really loved Street Fighter 2, but Street Fighter 2 wasn’t out for the Super Nintendo yet, and I really, really, really wanted to play a one-on-one fighting game at home, and so I…bought Fighting Masters for the MegaDrive. DON’T JUDGE ME.

The game wasn’t totally terrible. It had a nice weight to it, I liked how you could throw an enemy and they would hit the edge of the screen with a satisfying thud. It was definitely no Street Fighter 2, but man, what is, right? We were living in desperate times and had to make do. Ask your parents what it was like only being able to play a couple of games at a time. We lived like savages.
